@Guillermo H This one has one of the nails used to crucify Christ embedded in it, created by Constantine... the actual spear of destiny (broken and all) was lost during the french revolution (the point as the rest is enshrined in St Peter's Basilica and the Church has not displayed it).

This spear is not the actual one used to stab the side of Christ, this was created way after the death of Christ. Sources say the Emperor Constantine had this created and embedded one of the 3 nails used to crucify Christ. Constantine’s mother had apparently made a pilgrimage to the site of Christ’s crucifixion and obtained the nails. There is a nail embedded in this spear according to the experts that have studied it, unfortunately one cannot say with certainty that the nail in this one is truly the nail that was used to crucify Christ (as Constantine did realize the value of the nails and used it for diplomatic purposes, giving it away and all… as such there are over 30 nails that are claimed to be one of the actual nails used). However there is a spear that is housed in St. Peter’s Cathedral that more resembles what the roman’s might have actually used, unfortunately the church has never shown this spear in public and the tip/point of the spear has been broken and lost (during the French revolution or so). This spear has much more of a claim (just do your own research). Perhaps someone really has the spear of destiny (the lost point), hell if I had it I would never tell anyone I had it… for all you know BILL GATES has it! LOL!

Okay this is going to sound relly creapy but it happend. I was with my boyfriend walking on the path that leads to reeder road. And we heard a scream, so we went across the tracks and into the woods to see if we could hear it again. So we started walking and my boyfriend looked back, And he said we have to run. So i looked back and i saw this man running as fast as he could and he was right behind us. I started running and screaming. My boyfriend and me looked back and he was right behind us but even closer. So im running and hes running. I fell and hurt my foot relly bad. My boyfriend tried picking me up but he could’nt so he stood in front of me and blocked me from the man in black. all the sudden my boyfriend screamed. I screamed to and started to cry. He fell to his knees and was holding his arm. I felt mad all the sudden So i got up and ran at the man. The man dissaperd in thin air. I couldnt belive my eyes!!So after that day i never ever EVER went back to that spot again and i can still hear the screams in my head.

I do not live without money but I do live very minimally in my 1986 Winnebago Minnie Winnie. I fill the tank once a month ($125.00) and my vehicle insurance is $188.00 twice a year. I cook well-balanced meals in my camper. Once in a while I will treat myself to Cracker Barrel, IHOP or Waffle House for breakfast. This has been quite a lifestyle change for me and I am sorry that I didn’t do this sooner.

I worked at the Hilltop House about 30 years ago and my son was married there approximately 7 years ago. I have seen “the lady in white” on the stairs and I was pushed going downstairs to retrieve some table linens. My mother reported a young man at the foot of her bed in the middle of the night and went on to describe a Zoave soldier right down to the buttons on his shirt. (Mom had absolutely no knowledge of Zoaves). Many of my photographs from there contain orbs. It is so sad that this hotel has fallen into such disrepair.

I am an atheist, but i am not ignorant to what the bible likes to tell people. From what i have seen there is good and bad in this world and to be honest, it has nothing to do with God!!! The things that are happening in the world that we see everyday on the news are thing that we are doing to each other. I have read the bible and it is just a STORY BOOK, not truth!! There MAY be some historical facts put in there but it is basically a book of morals, a ”be kind to your neighbors” sort of thing. Which i don’t believe religion is needed to teach these things. If your a good person, then that sort of thing goes without saying. as for heaven and hell, this is it! we are in both heaven and hell, there is both good and bad inside everyone even the people that are devout Christians, Catholics, Muslims, Jews and every other possible religion out there. Wars have been fought in the name of god, but i doubt god has has shown up on the doorsteps of leaders and generals and said ”Go kill them! They do not believe in me.” Religion is created by men and so is the notion of ‘God’. we were brought up in a world of survival of the fittest and we are lucky enough to have the brains to use tools and invent new thing to make survival a little easier. but we are all animals as we are no better than them. We hunt, we kill and we feed to live just like animals. So to the question do we have a soul? No just another thing that religion has put into peoples heads and if people do have souls so do animals!!!

Great stories! I am with the Haralson County Historical Society and would love to see some of the pictures! We are working on the Budapest Cemetery (which has its own ghost story) and this would be a great tie-in!

I am with the Historical Society and we are in the process of trying to get the Budapest Cemetery listed on the National Register of Historic Places. I would love to track down any more information anyone may have on the Hungarians/Slovakians. I am especially intrigued by the “spirit” picture of Father Janishek!! Would love to see it. I have also read that there’s a spirit at the Cemetery as well.

I watched a television show about this steam boat, they were testing weather or not it was really haunted. It was no. They looked for heat signatures and all that kind of stuff. Plus if you really want to know if some place is haunted, you have to go yourself. You can’t believe everything people tell you.

To get to the tomb u enter through the green belt trail, from there follow the trail till u reacha fork in the road. Go right and then you follow the trail to the ranger station then u make a left then follow then cut off the trail down the hill and then you you will reach a stone wall, follow the wall till u are able to hop it then you will be in a large field right in front of the tomb with a beautiful view of the harbor, what a final resting place.
