The story of this group of mutants has fascinated anyone who has ever felt left out or alone in society. It has some of the most famous superheroes in comic-book history. Run by Charles Xavier, Professor X, his mission is to give all mutants a chance to get ahead in society. Whenever his ideology is threatened, his fellow mutants are at his side. This comic book was one of the first to have more than one superhero as the main character. It proved to be extremely popular and the characters are almost instantly recognizable to any person around the world.

The mutant’s struggle is threatened by a group of evil mutants dedicated to ridding the world of humans. Headed by a mutant named Magneto, this group believes humans are the source of problems for mutants and must be dealt with. For many years, these characters remained in the pages of graphic novels and comic books. That was, until Bryan Singer released the film X-Men in 1999. The film was incredibly popular and brought the story of these mutants to the forefront of Hollywood. Two sequels were made and a spin-off is currently in production.
