WWII: Alternative History
What if World War Two did not turn out the way we know it today? Let us assume a few events. Lets say that after Pearl Harbor, the United States did not declare war on Japan. This would mean that the Japanese oil embargo would have been lifted and they would have continued their conquest into the rest of Asia. Japan would have taken over all of mainland Asia and attacked southern Russia. This would put Russia in a two-front war in which they would eventually lose. Germany would have overrun Russian defenses and met up with Japan. It could be assumed that Germany would have attacked Japan in their ideology that the German people were the master race. Japan would be wiped out by the might of the German army.
The United States, assuming it stayed neutral at this time, would eventually declare war on Germany. The war would be much different. American forces would be fighting Germans on both sides of the globe. With Germany’s conquest of Asia and Europe, their would be no help for the Americans. The United States would fight for many years until they eventually came to a peace agreement with Germany. From this point in history, all of Asia, North Africa, and Europe would be known as Nazi Germany. Any thoughts on this theory?
Hard to fathom the US not declaring war after Pearl Harbor.
