The Poltergeist of Windham House
Windham House is in Selma, Alabama and is home to a famous poltergeist named Jeffrey. Jeffrey was first recognized in October of 1966 by Katherine Tucker Windham. In her first report, she talks about hearing footsteps on the stairs and in the hall. There was also a situation where he had moved a chest of drawers in front of a door that was blocking it.
One night, Katherine had some of her friends over where they were talking about Jeffrey and about ghosts in general. Later on, they took pictures with each other and when they were developed they noticed shadowy images in the background. This event would inspire Katherine to go on and write a series of books and ghost accounts, including accounts on her poltergeist roommate Jeffrey.
