Where do we come from?

Where do we come from? Who created us? What is our purpose here on earth? These are questions that have baffled mankind since the dawn of time. Now, this post will not attempt to answer the question, because there is no way to truly know. Instead, I will simply address a likely possibility of why we are here.

If you come from a religious background, whether it be Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, you most-likely believe we are here so we can prepare ourselves for the afterlife. This theory is the most commonly-accepted one of all and rightly so. Religion has been the backbone of mankind’s mystery and wonder about the world. To use religion as a basis for our existence is a simple way for us to realize that we are here for a reason so we could carry on with our lives without too much worry.

Now, for those of you who may not be that religious, there are dozens of other theories that attempt to describe our existence here on earth. This one, to me, happens to be the most likely. I feel that we were created by a supreme-being and that we are here to learn lessons that will eventually prepare us for our journey into the afterlife.
