Voodoo Sacrifice of Black Cats
Back in the 1800s, Voodoo rituals in New Orleans required the sacrifice of a black cat. This would most often be done by skinning the cat. The person in charge would go into the kitchen, and the cat would be brought to him with its feet tied together. A tub of boiling water was placed on the table with candles surrounding it. Prayers and songs would be recited as the cat was spun around and around as it hung upside down. The cats head was then dumped into the boiling water, and died almost immediately. It was then taken out of the water and a man would bite the cat’s throat and skinned it completely with his teeth. Then they ate the flesh and divided the bones because the black cat bones were believed to have great power.

thank god nowadays there are laws to punish people who commit such horrible crimes. To injure any innocent animal is definetely a way to attract much more harm than good luck. Specially because there are good people out there ready to denounce such crimes!

That’s sick. Recently the news actually notified the community to keep your black cat inside, some people have been sacrificing black cats on Halloween.
