The University of Texas Medical Branch

January 9th, 2009

The University of Texas Medical Branch is located in Galveston, Texas. For many years, people spoke of the legend of the famous sea captain pirate Jean Lafitte. He willed his land to his family and asked for the land to stay within the family forever. However, years down the road one of the heirs sold the land and this made the spirit of Jean Lafitte angry. Ewing Hall was then built over the land for the University of Texas. There is the presence of a face on the building and no one can deny it.

Ewing Hall was actually built upon an accretion in the bay by the state so there was no landowner previous to the selling. Some believe that this face looks like Bigfoot Wallace who is famous in Texas history. He was unable to move his land out of the state of Texas and maybe this is his way of revenge. A medium that visited the face believes that there was a death of a child on this spot and that face was the last thing the child saw before dying. The research for this was inconclusive. Another strange event that happened was in December of 1992, a woman was killed in a car accident by her own hands as she tried to look at the face.
