The Tannersville Inn is located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. The inn was built in 1825, and put the town on the map. As a matter of fact, the 98 acres of the original town was mapped around the inn. It has been owned the past 30 years or so by the Jakubowitz family. It is believed that the presence of spirits are prominent throughout the inn, who are most likely former owners and guests. What many people do not know, is that the inn has a very dark history.
The inn was actually the site of what is known as the Learne Massacre. The Learne family who once owned the building were killed by Indians who lived in the area. Mrs. Learne was hung from a tree and her children were all murdered. Real Hauntings investigated the area and indeed found paranormal activity. People had their hair pulled, as well as feeling cold chills and spots around them. An orb was captured on video while conducting an interview with one of the workers. Also, workers have reported strange occurrences such as books being thrown off shelves and weird noises at night.
