The Southern Mansion is one of the most unique attractions located in Cape May, New Jersey. It has a vibrant history and the sheer beauty of its structure and surrounding gardens make it a hot tourist attraction. However, there is also another side to this place that is known as the Southern Mansion.
A ghost has been haunting the mansion for quite some time, believed to be the spirit of Esther. Esther is the son of the mansion’s original owner, Captain George Allen. People who report seeing the ghost of Esther describe hearing the sound of laughter and smell a unique scent of perfume.
Others have even seen Esther dancing around the house. Therefore, one would assume that this spirit simply does not want the good times to end and to keep the party going on forever. For everything the Southern Mansion offers, it is quite the spot to visit.
