The Louisiana Supreme Court Building
The Louisiana Supreme Court Building is located on Royal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. The year is 1930, and two witnesses to a mob hit, a young white woman and an old black man, have the opportunity to put the Mafia behind bars by testifying before the judge in criminal court. The police and people encouraged them to be brave and to testify in order to do the right thing. These two witnesses bravely entered the courtroom to begin the trial, but before the judge even had the chance to begin the trial, shots rang out in the courtroom. The result was the death of both witnesses as they were shot at close range, as they laid in their own blood on the floor.
The courtroom security was not much in 1930, and consequently the people responsible for the deaths of these two brave people were able to escape and were never caught. The ghosts of these two souls have been seen walking along the halls. They are almost fully solid apparitions that walk from one end of the hall to the other, disappearing when guards start walking towards them. There is also a ghost who has been seen on the 3rd floor hallway looking out the window at the Omni Hotel. He is believed to be the spirit of the lawyer who lost his two witnesses before that fateful trial.
Paranormal activity has also been seen and sensed on the sidewalk outside of the building. Ghost hunters have reported feeling the touch of a woman’s arm while standing outside there. This woman is crying and is begging to be able to see her children. There is also a man who is seen sitting down on the sidewalk begging for money as people walk by him. He is a thin man with a dark and thick beard.
