The Guilty Martini

January 21st, 2009

The Guilty Martini was located in Edmonton, Alberta. The building was built around 1900, and it once served as a carriage house. It was originally owned by W.J. Scott and Sons. In the 1950s, it was turned into an apartment building, and then by the year 2000, the building has been the home to many businesses. All of these businesses have reported feeling the presence of spirits from out of this world. The main ghost in the building is commonly referred to as “Dapper Dan.” It is not known who this spirit was while living, but it is known that this is a mischievous ghost with a strong dislike for the nightclub.

Staff members have reported being touched on the shoulder and have had their hair pulled by Dan. Ashtrays are pushed off tables, and liquor bottles are rearranged on their own. Lights have gone one and off, with cold spots emulating when this happens. In the lounge, people have reported seeing black shadows going across the wall, and the outline of a man behind the curtains. One woman reported an experience where a man in a lumber jacket came walking towards her before vanishing. The sounds of a person walking up the steps and moving about upstairs have been heard when no one is there. Perhaps one of the most intriguing events at the Guilty Martini was when a waitress saw a hand came out of the cigarette machine and try to grab her.
