The Ghosts of Whaley House

Whaley House was built in 1857 in San Diego, California. It was built for Thomas Whaley, who was one of the early pioneers of the city. Whaley planned to sell the house to the city for use of a court house, and he made certain arrangements to accommodate the house strictly for court. When the city rejected buying the house, it left Whaley stuck with the house and unable to use for private residence due to the changes.
He never was able to get the city to buy the house, and it remained in the Whaley family until the last of the children died in 1959. The house was saved from demolition several times, and consequently was made into a museum. Here are when the ghosts started to appear. Once the house began to be restored, workmen would see ghosts of a male, female, child, and even a dog. Since then, visitors have reported the same figures.
There have also been flickering lights, footsteps, cold spots, rocking chairs that rock on their own, the scent of perfume, and the smell of a cigar. Most interestingly, there is a phantom organ that decides to play on its own whenever there is someone near. However, all of these ghosts and presences have a warm feel to them, and have been completely harmless. The only exception to this is that one ghost was reported hanging over one of the doors. This is a graphic and disturbing image of someone put to death.
