The Ghosts of the Mount
Edith Wharton was born in 1862 New York to a wealthy family. She became one of the most famous writers of her time including books such as The House of Mirth and The Age of Innocence. She became tired of New York City and had a country house built for her in Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. The mansion was Georgian-style and she called it the Mount. She entertained many rich and famous people at her mansion including the novelist and personal friend Henry James. She sold the mount in 1912 because she never really felt at home anywhere but Paris, France.
She lived there until her death in 1937 but she never really left the mount in spirit. After Edith left the Mount, it served as an all girls school, and then a theatre that performed plays based on Edith’s life. Many people have reported seeing Edith, Henry James, and her husband Edward. They have been seen in hallways, bedrooms, and on the terrace. These ghosts don’t seem to care about anything involving humans and basically just roam around with no concern, perhaps enjoying the mansion as they once did. There is also one mysterious ghost believed to be a hooded demonic presence. One woman reported this and she felt a very uneasy presence over her shoulder.

I mean I could probably live with the three ghosts but not that hooded demonic presence that is said to be there.
Daemonic presences are the most dangerous thing to live with. Especially if it’s an actual daemon. They live to torment and will follow you wherever you go.
