The Ghost of Guthrie Theater

September 5th, 2008

Guthrie Theater is a famous theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Throughout paranormal history, theaters are great place for ghost sightings. This is most likely due to the long-history and long-running shows that are set at certain theaters. The interesting thing about the ghost sightings at Guthrie is that he is the ghost of an old usher. There was once an 18 year-old man that worked at the theater as an usher part-time as he was a student at the University of Minnesota.

He was a quiet guy and was always depressed. One day in February of 1967, the man went to Sears and bought a shotgun, and then shot himself to death him while still-having his work uniform on. A couple of weeks after the incident, a woman at the theater complained about a man walking up and down the aisle the entire show, describing the old usher exactly. He was seen all over the theater for many years, but never said or did anything to cause anyone/anything harm. He eventually stopped making appearances at the old theater but I wouldn’t count out an encounter with this ghost on any given night.
