The Formation of a Tsunami

A tsunami is a series of waves that is created when a body of water is rapidly displaced. The following all have the potential to form a tsunami: 1) Earthquakes (on land and underwater) 2) Mass movements (above/below water) 3) Underwater explosions 4) Volcanic eruptions 5) Landslides 6) Asteroid impacts 7) Detonation of nuclear warfare. As we are all aware, a tsunami is very harmful and devastating to human life on Earth.
