The End of Times Part VII

November 21st, 2008

I slammed as hard as I could on the iron door. No one answered. I decided to at least spend the night here. Possibly later, these people might come out to see who was here. I found the living room somewhat to my liking. I spread out on the floor and used my jacket as a pillow. Almost as soon as my head hit the pillow, I fell into a deep asleep. What seemed like hours later, I awoke to the sounds of explosions. I ran to the window. Out in the night sky, were dozens of bombers dropping their small but deadly black bombs on our area. What was going on?! I couldn’t run. There was nowhere to go. I ran back to the iron door.  I screamed louder than I ever had before. Someone please answer me!

The door was flung open and I was knocked unconscious. I later awoke to a dim light in my face.  It hurt to open my eyes.  I could hear whispers around me.  There was a throbbing in my right temple.  I couldn’t make out their words.  It was all a blur.  The last thing I could remember was being knocked out by that iron door. In the distance I could hear the pounding of bombs slamming into the earth.  I knew I had to get myself up.  I knew wherever I was could not have been too safe.  I couldn’t make out exactly how far away the blasts were.  But I knew it was only a matter of time before they reached me.  And what were these whispers around me?  They were incessant.
