The End of Times Part IV

November 18th, 2008

The sight that greeted my eyes was terrible. I saw total devastation. Buildings were ripped apart and half-standing. It was as if a terrible giant had knocked his arms against the tall skyscrapers. Cars were pummelled. Skeletons rotting in the devastation of nuclear waste lay on the streets and sidewalks. They were women and children. god it was horrible. I could not stand the sight. I stooped down on my knees and vomited. I had never seen such a horrible sight in all my life. And that terrible sound of the wind. It was a faint whooshing sound that would never stop. It was as if I was having permanent ear-loss. All I would hear aside from the sound of my own footsteps was the whooshing wind.

I almost burst into tears, but I knew it would do no good. I must find some survivors and find food. I could not survive that long on candy and soda. I decided to go to my apartment. I walked across the street, carefully stepping over the fried corpses. It felt as though they were calling up to me. I could almost hear their terrible screams as the world around them turned to devastation. I ran passed the old coffee shop I used to go to. The sign was still up but the glass was broken in and the inside was decayed rubble. Nothing was the same.
