The Emmitt House
The Emmitt House is located in Waverly, Ohio. It was built by James Emmitt who was a banker, and during the Civil War he undertook this establishment in the year of 1861. As you enter the house, it is like going back in time. One cannot shake the feeling as if they are being watched as they stroll around from room to room. One employee described coming into contact with a ghost of a woman who walked by her. The employee told the woman that they were not open yet and she replied no and then disappeared. People also often report the scent of cigars that James enjoyed during his life.
Growling voices and children’s laughter have been heard, and doorknob turn on its own. Blue mists and red glows have also been seen around the rooms.
