The Dake House

December 24th, 2008

The Dake House is located in Genoa, Nevada and is a nice Victorian home. Genoa, Nevada was the first established community in the state of Nevada. It was once the home of the local undertaker, which could possibly be one of the reasons why there are paranormal occurrences in the home. It now serves as an antique store and is considered to be one of the most haunted places in northern Nevada. The first paranormal experience at the house occurred when a painting flew off the wall. It was later found out that this was a spirit painting created at a seance in the early 19th century. Footsteps are heard as well asĀ  the appearance of shadows and the scent of very odd smells. One man reported even being slapped in the face on the second floor by an unknown entity.

I really enjoy reading anything to do with haunted places. I have lived in quite a few places that are haunted and been very happy in them as well. My latest novel is also about hauntings and you can find out about it on http://www.eloquentbooks.com/monkstreasure.html
