The Crow

In 1994, Brandon Lee, the son of famous martial-artist Bruce Lee, made his first dramatic role in The Crow. The film is the story of a rock musician and his girlfriend who are murdered by a gang of thugs. Eric is resurrected by a crow and seeks to avenge the murder of both him and his wife.
The film has become notable for the fact that this was Brandon Lee’s last film. During production, he was accidentally shot with a gun; the bullet from one of the dummy-rounds had become lodged in the barrel of the gun and Lee was shot. After this film was released, it was very well-received by audiences and critics alike. This would have been the boost of Brandon’s career that might’ve launched him into the view of mainstream Hollywood.
The theory of a crow coming to resurrect the dead is not a new one. Ancient people of Europe believed that when someone dies, their soul is carried to the afterlife. However, if they have unfinished business or are not ready to make their peace with God, they will be allowed to roam freely on earth to finish up whatever business they have not attended to.
