The Antichrist has been a figure in Christian theology since it’s first mention in the Book of Revelation. John, the writer of Revelation, spoke about a ruler coming to power who would be the ultimate evil-doer. He would preach foul words and encourage anti-christian practices. There have been many theories as to when this person would come to the fore-front of civilization

Yet, many religious scholars debate the existence of such a person and also state that the person John was writing about has already lived and died. When John wrote the Book of Revelation, he was writing it as a metaphor for modern-day turmoils within the Christian community. The letters 666 are synonymous with the Antichrist.

Using numbers and the alphabet, 666 is Emperor Nero. Nero was one of the most wicked emperors in the history of the Roman Empire. He burned Rome to the ground and blamed it on the Christians. He also was responsible for the deaths of thousands of these people in the Colosseum with the use of vicious gladiators and wild animals.
