Sybil 2012

The Sybil was a woman in Ancient Greece. She was known for making prophecies that were many years ahead of her time. It was believed by the people of her time, that the god Apollo was speaking to the Sybil. The Sybil made a prophecy that many interpret to be talking about 2012.
The things in the tenth generation shall come to pass. The Earth shall be shaken by a great earthquake that throws many cities into the sea. There shall be war. Fire shall come flashing down from the heavens and many cities burn. Black ashes shall fill the great sky. Then know the Anger of the Gods.
Could this just be the ravings of a mad-woman? Or is this going to happen one day?
