Star Wars IV: A New Hope

This film redefined cinematic history, catapulted unknown actors to super-stardom, and created a franchise that has lasted to this day. The film borrowed ideas from ancient legend and mythology and applied it to a futuristic setting. The originality of the story has made the film to be regarded as one of the best films ever made. Themes of friendship, a higher power known as the force, and the power of evil attract and affects any viewer that watches this film.
After an opening moving title sequence, we are told that the galaxy is at war. The evil empire holds dominion over all star systems. Rebels are sabotaging and hurting the empire’s hold every chance they get. Princess Leia, daughter of Senator Organa of Alderaan, has gotten a hold of plans for a giant battle station that the empire is planning to build. The empire’s troops known as stormtroopers board Leia’s ship hoping to recover the stolen plans. They are unsuccessful as Leia hides the plans in the software of a small robot named R2-D2.
The robot and his companion C-3PO flee and arrive on the desolate planet called Tatooine. While there, the befriend a naive farm boy named Luke Skywalker who lives with his Aunt and Uncle. R2 runs away and the other two find him and are nearly killed by savage Sandpeople. They are saved by aged Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi. Kenobi and the three others set out on a quest to return the plans to the Rebel base on Yavin. With the help of smuggle Han Solo and his companion Chewbacca, the group rescue the princess and destroy the Empire’s Death Star.
