Sachs Bridge is located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and marks the site of the bloodiest battle of the American Civil War. Over 50,000 men were killed in the three day span of the battle, plus the thousands of others that were injured. All of Gettysburg was essentially a battlefield. Makeshift hospitals were created to treat all the wounded and dying soldiers. These hospitals were made out of barns, homes, and the wooden covered Sachs Bridge. The bridge was built in 1854 by David Stoner and runs 100 feet long. It was referred to as Saucks Bridge during the Civil War and to this day is still pronounced that way even though the spelling has changed.

The bridge was utilized by the troops during the war, and provided an easy passage over the water. Many types of psychic photographs and EVP’s have been recorded at the bridge. Strange occurrences allegedly happen around the area all the time, including uncomfortable feelings of being watched, contact with unseen entities, apparitions, and unexplained sounds and smells. An investigation at Sachs Bridge in 2004 consisted of members from the Paranormal Research Society of New England and Central New York Ghost Hunters witnessing the reenactment of a battle in the middle of night by the spirits that took place in it.
