Red Eye
2005 was a great year for Hollywood, many controversial topics including homosexuality, and euthanasia were addressed. Yet, a few films went by somewhat unnoticed. One film was Wes Craven’s Red Eye. One of the best directors of horror and thriller films created a chilling and edge-of-your-seat thriller that was a critical and box-office success.
The film tells of a young Hotel worker named Lisa who boards a late flight to Miami. While in the airport, she meets a charming man she believes is just another working stiff like her. However, on the flight he reveals that he is a terrorist who needs her to move a government official to a different room so that a terrorist group can kill the government official. The terrorist, played by Cillian Murphy, threatens Lisa by stating that if she does not cooperate, he will kill her father.
