Prospect Place

December 19th, 2008

Prospect Place is located in Dresden, Ohio. In the year of 1856 Geroge Wallison Adams built a mansion there that would serve as a place of protection for slaves who were traveling to get to the Underground Railroad. The house was called Prospect Place and it would go on to become one of the largest stations for freeing slaves in Ohio. The mansion has intricate framework and beautiful architecture of that time period. The house is believed to have many hauntings, including that of eight spirits. These spirits are believed to haunt the third floor ballroom. Another ghost is perceived to be that of a bounty hunter who was hung in the barn after trying to catch a slave. The energy in the barn is so overwhelming upon entering that no one goes in there.
