Pleiadeans is the name given to what is said to be a group of alleged Nordic Alien Extraterrestrials from the Pleiades star cluster in the constellation of Taurus which is approximately 400 light years away from Earth. Their home planet is said to be Erra and the descriptions of what these beings look like have been given from those who have claimed to of come in contact with them. Two contactees who claimed to of been in contact with these aliens are Billy Meier and James Gilliland.

Mr. Meier is supposedly the originator of the account of this particular species since he claims to have been the first to make contact with them. He produced in the 1970s a series of photographs which he claims to be the ships of this other life form and even pictures of Pleiadeans themselves. Mr. Meier claims that they contacted him in person or through telepathy. After Mr. Meier disclosed this information, more and more people started claiming to have been in contact with these species.

The reason, most contactees claim, why Pleiadeans are trying to make contact with humans is to warn us that our society is under self-destruction. In alternative accounts, these Peiadeans are said to of been on one side in a cloak and dagger confrontation over the fate of humanity and trying to offer us solutions on how to avert this problem. This such account worked in a number of conspiracy and urban legend theories, including the New World Order and the Illuminati.

As much as I hate to admit it, NASA and the European Space Agency have both stated that the only planets in the Pleiades do not revolve. They are free moving planets that are not grounded by another planet. As well, none of what is out there has ever been found in any kind of habitable zone.

About our only chance at this point would be Gliese 581c and that’s about it. 345 exoplanets have been found thus far and only Gliese 581c can fit the bill. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t more possibilities out there certainly but I’m afraid the Pleiades will never fit the bill.

It’s amazing how stories about the Pleiades fly though. Such gets started by an abductee or supposed contactee and then those with just an interest pick the ball up and run with it not really looking at the originator of such an idea.

Science will dictate what’s out there as usually and someday they’ll listen. Meanwhile, they all need to pay attention to Gliese 581c if they hope to find any living beings.

Goodness Gracious!?! Do you mean to say that the only habitable planets are those that have the same characteristics as earth — the land, water and air? Huh! Surely there could be other living beings that are not carbon-based and have no need for oxygen to breathe or water (H20) to drink.

The new scientific theories — the M-theory, the superstrings theory — and the cosmic concepts like blackholes and wormholes sound more science-fiction than the old ET stories.
