Pilgrims Rest Cemetery
Pilgrims Rest Cemetery is located in Ormond Beach, Florida. The Daytona Beach Paranormal Research Group found out that an African American man was hanged on a tree in the back of the cemetery. He was killed for crimes he allegedly committed. This spot at the time was not originally a cemetery, and years later it was even found out that this man was not the right person who committed the crimes he was charged for. It is believed by many that the most elusive phenomena to photograph in the spirit realm is the spirit of the African-American.
The photo of discussion was taken with a Pentax IQ Zoom 35 mm camera. The original photo was scanned into the computer and the final photo was cropped out and enlarged. There were no other enhancements made. The spot at which the photo was taken is also responsible for having frequent hot spots. People have recorded temperature fluctuations of 20 to 40 degrees. Small animals have been found in this spot, including birds and squirrels. Strange mists have been photographed in the spot as well.
