The Roosevelt Hotel is a historic Spanish-style hotel located at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California named after Theodore Roosevelt. The hotel first opened its doors on May 15, 1927. Marilyn Monroe was a resident of the hotel for two years when she started modeling. Her first magazine photo-shoot was taken on the diving board at the pool which was removed recently. She stayed in suite 1200 which overlooked the pool. The mirror which used to hang in her room is now placed in the lobby which is said to be haunted by her spirit. A number of people also claim to have seen her ghost dancing in the hotel’s ballroom.
