Mancill House

December 22nd, 2008

Mancill House is located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and was built in 1918 by Howard Mancill. The house has served 14 families since then, two of which were headed by Episcopal priests. Since 2003, the owners have been Keith and Jana Majors. The Majors family is currently working on a restoration project for the house. This family has experienced many paranormal events, such as heat shimmers, loud knockings on the doors, music playing even after the stereo had been turned off, weird dreams, being tripped on the staircase, and the sighting of a large man with a beard.

Each member of the family also reports the feeling that they are being watched. The chandelier in the master bedroom moves on its own, and strange mists have been seen throughout the upper bedrooms. One night, Ms. Majors heard a man entering the house with a key. He then walked up the stairs and knocked quietly on one of the bedroom doors. The next day it was revealed that at a house down the block, a drunken man went into his former home and the current owner shot him dead thinking he was a burglar. This event coincided with the experience Ms. Majors had. There are eight EVP recordings from the house and seven of which are males. Photos taken reveal orbs in either clusters or with facial features.
