I disagree when you said life would be unpleasant without tv or radio, in fact, I could live without that, people can still create music without technology,it only sounds unpleasant to someone that doesnt do anything else in their life with technology, we can grow our own food, drink fresh water, and use the worlds resources to build some form of shelter, children will be raised by the community, this article you made has no references other then your own perspective, therefore I leave you my statement.

I think about it all the time. Believe it or not, there hasn’t always been money, or that kind of system on this planet. Of course, you have to look back before the last ice-age. Since then we have traded all our values for money, which really isn’t even real. Yes, alot of things would go away, but noone would stop discovering things, people would work at what they were best suited at, no more letting our government and big companies poison our bodies and our minds, a whole lot less destroying the planet, not as much depression, the list goes on and on. Money has reduced us all down to a dollar sign on some bottom line somewhere, and they wonder why people are depressed. Maybe we just aren’t happy being told that our worth is in dollars and cents? Do you know how many people would have to become nicer, more decent human beings if they couldn’t buy their way through life? I’ve met seversl, who think because they own something, that makes thm a good person, cause that’s what we have all been brainwashed to believe. sad, but oh so true.

First and foremost, Technology would not completely die out. It is up to man to decide what to continue, the question is woould they continue it if money wasn’t involved? At this moment in time I have little faith in mankind for that.
Lastly, Money was first introduced around 600 BC in Lydia, which is now western Turkey, not America.

I believe a world without money can only work for those who are not into materialistic things, everyone will be equal, money was invented for the sole use of debt and power,deviding those with it, n those without. its a system

We make that system work, if we were to stop work (whole world) the system wil crumble. Only too many ppl care about money rather than what really matters, e.g love, friendship , family. True knowledge, if everyone helpd one another they won’t b fighting over anything. Nothing is stopping us exept us!

The world is so dependant on technology and money that without it, they won’t survive! Even though they don’t realise us as humans adapt to change!

Interesting post – I was reading the other day about freecycling – a lifestyle based on living off the stuff other people throw away – I don’t know much about it, but there’s a website, and while I agree with you that money is another form of barter, I do think that too much emphasis is placed on NEW stuff, and MORE money, and SPENDING money for STUFF that we don’t really need but just want. So… these are my two cents for what they’re worth
