Life before life
Humans are fascinated by the idea of life after life. The possibility that there is an eternal paradise waiting for us is probably one of the driving forces inside of us. Yet, while people always discuss the idea of the after-life, what about before we were born? Were we spirits, and is our current-self a reincarnation? Scientists have proved there is no way for human consciousness to truly stop. We are constantly awake and aware in a sense. There is no possible way for this to be turned off like a light bulb.
This is the point where we may need to take a leap of faith. My personal belief is that there is an afterlife, yet we do not automatically go there when we die. Instead, we must go through reincarnations with our soul possibly through dozens of lifetimes until such time as we can become one with the universe. Yet, even this theory has some holes. It still doesn’t explain when it all started. Were we always reincarnated? Was there ever a beginning?
