Led Zeppelin

Considered almost universally to be one of the greatest rock bands in history, second only to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin has had many urban legends surrounding them. The foursome of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham created some of the most memorable songs of their day, yet they were known drug users and also supposedly created hidden messages in their songs. The theory is that hey would get stoned and create deeper meanings of their songs through the art of recording.
A very famous theory is that if you play “Stairway To Heaven” backwards, you hear Robert Plant talking about 666, Hell, and Satan. Many dispute these claims saying that Zeppelin would not create a song so it could be played backwards. Since many people who listened to the band were drug users themselves, it is possible they may have mistaken what they heard.
Whatever the theory is, it really does not matter. Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all-time. Still to this day, they are able to get sold-out tickets for their shows. In my opinion, these urban legends were created to give more credit to an already great band. They do not need any more credit just because they may have created messages in their song writing. They are still fabulous musicians with great songs.
