For a few years, this urban legend has circled around the internet. Some believe it, others do not. John Titor was a man claiming to be a time-traveler from the year 2036. In 2000, he posted on blogs and on several bulletin boards.

He made predictions about what would happen in the near future. According to him, by 2036, a nuclear war had been fought which forced the United States to break up into five small regions. He mentioned that our environment had been drastically changed due to the effects of the nuclear fallout.

John Titor claimed to be part of a government time-travel project. He had been sent back to retrieve part of an IBM computer which could debug various computer programs in his time. He said that he stopped in 2000 also to collect personal belongings that had been lost in the war, and to speak to his family.

Now many of you must be thinking “Yeah okay, a time-traveler?”, but before you make a decision, know that John was questioned about his time machine and he was accurately able to describe what it looked like and took pictures of it. Still skeptical?

Among his other predictions, he mentioned that mad-cow disease had become rampant in the near future, destroying livestock. There is so much information on this phenomenon. Believe it or not. It’s up to you.
