On November 22, 1963, President Kennedy was killed by a sniper’s bullet. So many mysteries surround this event. To this day, the majority of people don’t believe the government’s statements. One of the most profound mysteries of the entire ordeal is Jack Ruby. Ruby was a middle-aged, bad-tempered, strip-club owner in Dallas at the time of the shooting. When Lee Harvey Oswald, Kennedy’s supposed assassin, was being transferred to another holding cell, Ruby jumped out of the crowd and shot Oswald dead at point-blank range. This stunned millions of viewers and people began to question Ruby’s motivation.

Ruby stated that he killed Oswald to keep Jackie Kennedy from seeing her husband’s killer on trial. Most people reject this excuse because they believe Ruby may have been hiding his true motivation. People over the years have come forward and said that they saw Oswald and Ruby together discussing things and drinking. While no one can be sure what they were talking about, this leaves room for speculation. It is believed that Jack Ruby was in contact with the Mafia and was the middle-man for Oswald and the gangsters. This brings up the possibility that possibly the Mafia could have been involved in the JFK assassination because of Kennedy’s toughness on crime. Ruby may have shot Oswald to keep him from revealing any information.
