Hell

Is Hell real? For many Christians, they believe that this is the place where non-believers in God and Jesus will go to this place for eternal damnation. While there hasn’t been any physical evidence that this place is real, believers still hold their views. It has been a place called Hades, and the Underworld. In many cultures it has different interpretations.

The most popular belief is that Hell is a place of torture. It has been described as a place of fire and brimstone where Satan’s kingdom reigns supreme. All evil-doers will spend eternity suffering for the sins they have committed and will have no second chances to enter heaven. Well, I think we can all agree this is a place we would rather not believe is real. If there is a God who is loving and caring, why would he send his people to a place of torture.

There have been many debates over this question, but there still seems to be no answer that humanity can truly agree on. What many people would like to believe is that there is a place where truly evil people go to suffer such as Saddam Hussein and Adolf Hitler. However, just because someone is questioning religion, doesn’t mean they should have eternal pain just for being skeptical.

    Psst, pass it along…

Hell is no urban legend. Hell is real. You say that Saddam Hussein and Adolf Hitler are truly evil, but by what standard? Many Extremist Islamists would disagree.

The best measure of “evil” or sin is to read the Bible and find what it says, since it is.. the Word of God.

Here’s a paraphrase of what the Bible says on some questions:

What is sin? Disobedience to the will of God. Missing the mark.

Who has sinned? All have sinned.

What does sin do? It separates every human being from God.

What does sin end up doing. Killing human beings, twice. First, bodily (the unavoidable death date), then spiritually (being eternally separated from God in Hell), which IS avoidable!

What can we do to avoid sin and it’s inevitable second death? It’s not what we can do, but in whom we put our trust to save us. Jesus Christ, the only born Son of God, died on the cross to wipe away all of our sin. All that a human being must do is accept that Jesus Christ’s shed blood was enough to cover your individual sins. Trust in Jesus to save you.

What is Hell like? Eternally dark, eternally burning (without being consumed), eternally being eaten by worms.

Remember that God loves you, that’s why He provided a way out of this. Hell was actually created for Satan and his fallen angels. You don’t have to go there. If you look at the state of this present world and think God is not loving… He also gives us all free will. That’s what you see.. sin… sin causes all the problems you see. Sin when let to run free consumes to the death. Why so much violence? Sin. Why so much failure economically? Sin. Why does software have bugs? Imperfect man and his… sin.

It’s simple, yet so many with proud hearts miss it. No one likes admitting they are wrong. Yet a little humility and a time in your life where you give up your trust in your self and anything else but Christ to save you… and you will be eternally glad you did.

    Pass it along…
