Heidelberg Castle
Heidelberg Castle is located in southwestern Germany, and sits on a beautiful hill overlooking the Neckar River. Prince Elector Ruprecht III built the original part of the castle from 1398 to 1410 in an effort to provide for a regal residence. As the years went by, other major buildings would be added on to the castle. Prince Elector Phillip constructed Fountain Hall from 1476 to 1508. The castle was the site of great confusion and destruction. The castle was even completely destroyed in the 30 Years’ War, which took place from 1619 to 1649. It was then rebuilt by Prince Elector Karl Ludwig.
Towards the end of the 1600s, the castle was again destroyed, and this time by the French troops. In the 1700s, a lightning bolt struck and brought great damage to the castle. The building was then abandoned, and pieces of it would be used over the years as a way of helping the town grow. In 1800, the castle was then brought back to its former glory. Across the castle is a valley that has been an area of religious importance since the Celtic era. The site contains Celtic ruins, Roman ruins, and the ruins of a theater that was built by the Nazi’s in the 1930s. People have reported hearing shrieking sounds coming from the castle while in the valley. Some people have even reported seeing a hooded apparition walk between the castle and this religious site.

I live fairly close to Heidelberg and visited the castle about two months ago. I didn’t see the hooded apparition or remember hearing shrieking sounds coming from the castle but I felt uncomfortable in a particular area of the German Pharmacy Museum.
I visited Heidelberg in Nov of 2009. In one particular area my boyfriend and I took pictures and his pic had many orbs in it. Interesting.
It was beautiful though. I had an overwhelming feeling in their too. Cannot explain it.
