Ireland has long been known as the country which has written its history in blood. Over hundreds of years, thousands of people have died at the hands of many different kings and/or lords. After all these years of deadly conflict, Ireland is no stranger to hauntings and ghostly encounters. If anything, this is one of the most haunted places on the earth.

Almost every day, people report sightings of mysterious phenomena which cannot be explained. One area of Ireland which is very prone to these hauntings is Northern Ireland. This area has long been a place on conflict between the English and Irish people. To this day, there is animosity between the two nations. In this area of open plains and small towns, dozens of abandoned houses and castles lay on the quiet fields of Ireland. In the small area of Donegal, the most terrifying of encounters have occurred. This is one the oldest places in the entire country.

This mostly barren area is known at night to have very strange occurrences. People of this area have reported seeing small lights on the horizons, the sounds of people crying or screaming, and even witnessing the spirits of the dead. While this area may not be the place you want to spend your weekend, it is still a a great place of history and the fact that it is famous for it’s paranormal activity has made it even more interesting.
