Harry Potter has become a phenomenon since the first book was written in the late 1990s by J.K. Rowling. Harry’s story has become universally recognizable for thousands of readers. The story of this shy boy who finds out he may be the only hope for the wizard world is one of the greatest stories in fantasy literature history. The books and films have been praised for their attention to characters and their appeal to people of all ages.
Harry Potter was born to Lily and James Potter. According to a prophecy, the evil Lord Voldemort would see his downfall from the child of these two wizards. So in turn Voldemort headed to their hidden cottage and killed Lily and James Potter. However, he was unable to kill the baby since Lily had protected him from Voldemort with her love. Voldemort was disfigured and forced to flee to go into hiding. Harry was taken to be raised by his aunt and uncle. His relatives did not raise him right and mistreated him on a regular basis. Harry was told that his parents had been killed in a car crash.
When harry was 11 years old, he received a letter from Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of the famous wizardry school Hogwarts. Harry made friends at this school and showed a knack for being a true leader. Throughout the years he encountered Voldemort, his courage grew stronger until he was eventually able to look Voldemort in the face and end the evil wizard’s life for good. Harry became one of the most famous wizards of all-time and lived the rest of life in peace after so many years of being terrified of what the Dark Lord would do to him.
