Some believe that Halloween is a time that brings about dark and gloomy forces to this earth. Among these believers are satanic cults. Satanic cults are groups of people who worship the devil, and cause harm against others. These cults have been known to perform many rituals, especially during the time of Halloween.
Black cats are believed to be sacrificed at this rituals. No one knows why this is for sure, but most people are certain that this does indeed happen. Ever since a few years ago, animal shelters have forbidden the selling of black cats for the weeks leading up to Halloween in order to try and prevent anyone from adopting some and killing them in one of these rituals.
The black cat has always been a figure in folklore since ancient times. The most popular beliefs of black cats is that they are associated with witches, and also if one crosses your path than it means bad luck. No one knows for sure if the black cats pose any danger to anyone, or how they became solidified in Halloween folklore. The one thing we do know is that anything is possible, and maybe these furry creatures have some sort of mystical powers that the average person can’t see.

Black is actually a very common coloration in cats. I find myself drawn to the mystique of the black cat, but am not into witchcraft. I just love their shiny black coats and their eyes appear more dramatic against the dark fur. I don’t know if this is true, but they seem to talk more than other cats which only endears them to me more.
