Gravity Road

In Franklin Lakes, New Jersey on the Ewing Street exit off Route 208 South is the so called “Gravity Road.” The road is the alleged spot where a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle at the end of the exit ramp. According to the legend, the spirit of this young woman waits at this very spot, hoping to prevent any future tragedies. Motorists who drive off this exit claim that her spirit forces the car back when reaching the stop sign so you don’t go speeding into the intersection.
Also according to legend, if you put your car in neutral at the stop sign, the car will roll back up the hill. If this happens, the hand print of the woman will be seen on the bumper of the car. The skeptics believe that the area gives an illusion that it is a sloping hill, but in fact its not. Police frequent the area so its recommended that you don’t linger around the spot. Could this legend simply be a cautionary tale for drivers, or the real energy of a ghostly spirit?

IT IS NO OPTICAL ILLUSION. I HAVE BEEN ON THAT EXIT AT LEAST 2 DOZEN TIMES.ON ENTERING THIS EXIT YOU CAN SEE THAT THE STOP SIGN IS BELOW YOU IN ELEVATION. WHEN YOU PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL THE CAR STARTS TO ACCELERATE BACKWORDS. I HAVE GONE OVER 50 FEET BACKWARDS BEFORE ANOTHER CAR CAME ONTO THE EXIT AND I HAD TO MOVE ON.I DON’T BELIEVE IN ANYTHING SUPERNATURAL BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION FOR THIS PHENOMENON.
