Gold Hill Hotel

December 24th, 2008

The Gold Hill Hotel is located in Virginia City, Nevada and has been long known as a site that is haunted. The two-story hotel goes as far back to when Mark Twain was a reporter in Virginia City. People speculate that it is highly probable that he visited the hotel during his time in the city. Currently, the hotel displays a fine dining room and lobby that is a throwback of the Comstock Lode. The building is home to two well-known ghosts of a man and a woman. The male spirit is either that of a criminal who was killed when he was caught cheating in a game of cards or the spirit of the original owner of the hotel. The female ghost is better known and is the spirit of a woman named Rosie. She was either murdered at the hotel or committed suicide there. She currently haunts room number 2 and is often accompanied by a strong rose scent.
