Ghosts and Reality
Are ghosts real? Could it be that people who have passed on are trying to visit us and communicate? Well, it seems likely, but there is another side of the issue. Maybe all these reports of haunting and ghosts are just fabrications and over-exaggerations. People have a tendency to make things more than what they are. Don’t get me wrong, I am sure many of the reports are genuine and people truly did see things that are unexplainable. But out of all the thousands of supposed sightings, I highly doubt all of them could be real. Someone may say they heard a noise downstairs and then their bedroom door closed on its own. This most likely could be a result of the wind or an old house. Then people do research and think that since someone died in their house hundreds of years ago, it was that dead person who was causing the noises.
Most people who report these phenomenon never take a lie detector test. They just assume that the second they say the word “ghost”, everyone will believe them. They hope that the story will give them attention and they may get famous. This to me seems the most likely reason for these hauntings. But what about all those ghosts on camera? Well they may be the real thing. When there is evidence and it can be seen by people, then it helps the credibility of the claim. But as for the millions of sightings that people report constantly, they could be just the result of simple people wanting attention.
