Gerald Ford & UFOs

Gerald Ford is best-known as the President after Richard Nixon resigned from office. He was not a very good leader, mainly because he was fixing up all the problems which Nixon had left while still President. Ford was only President for a short time. But during these few years he did make some significant changes to the President’s post. He gave more money to NASA which had stopped in recent years due to cutbacks from the government. Ford made another post in his cabinet: science advisor. Ford was known to have much interest in UFOs and other alien theories. Early in his political career, he had become very much involved in this area of scientific investigation.
While he was a congressman in Michigan, the state had many reports of many dancing lights in the sky that could not be explained. The United States Government repeatedly told Ford that these lights could be very easily explained and that there was nothing to worry about. Ford promised that when he became President he would investigate into this phenomenon. However, when he took office, he was littered with other problems that he could not focus on the UFO issues. He revealed that no information was given to him and he had no new evidence to explain these lights.
