End of the Human Race

January 4th, 2009

We have all known of the possible end of the human race. But what event could render an entire species extinct? Scientists have many theories on this. Some are realistic, yet some are not likely. But if we act now, we can save future generations from dealing with it.

Here are some theories of what events could annihilate the human race.

- A gamma ray burst

- Black Hole

- Time Travel

- Global Warming

- Self-aware computers

Self-aware computers is out of the question. I mean we do have the technology now like robots and back to the future type of stuff but it seems like we are all aware and scared of Artificial Intelligence. A lot of movies have warned us about that and there are many protest groups out there trying to stop it. That will not stop it however but the people of the world should be and will be aware of the consequences.

Global Warming is a big issue. I mean the evidence is there. You can look at many weather charts, polar ice caps are melting. That is a very big issue. I don’t think we can do anything to stop that though, who knows with that one.

We are preparing for the gamma ray burst and we are working to fight against it if we can. NASA launched a satellite last year with sensors and all of that to detect and learn more about it.

For black holes, we are also researching about that. However, im not too good on that topic so that’s all I will say for that one.

Global warming and self-aware computers are the two we have to worry about. We can definitely stop ourselves from Artificial Intelligence but global warming seems to be inevitable.

You can add the Yellowstone Supervolcano to that list now because it could definitely cause the human population to become extinct.

    For when you have time

One qeoutisn at a time. I was bred as a Christian, a Catholic Christian but and for this reason I have not read much about other religions, much less share their beliefs,. although I respect them. Zeus was an ancient greek God, and while I have fun reading mythology, I have no reason to believe in it. I understand Mohamed was a prophet. Neverthekless Our Lady did express to the messengers some revelations about other faiths. She expressed God to be a God of love, and as long as men and women share in this love, a spiritual love, and respect and excercise compassion, charity and goodness, people will go to heaven. There is a testimony regarding a well known woman to one of the childrens families ( a neighbor who lived closeby) to be a saintly woman, and she was a moslem. There is much mystery around the entire medjugorje story and part of this mystery is the revelation of the universality of Gods love, regardless of faith, but based on each persons individual story, experience, and faith in a loving God, regardless of his name. Yet she invites all to know Her Son, the true Son of God who lived and died for our redemption.
