Empire State Building Ghosts

The Empire State Building was built in 1931 in Manhattan on 5th Avenue and 34th street. It stands atop the New York City skyline at 102 stories tall, and was the tallest building in the world between 1931-1972. It is also a symbol of the dominant presence of New York City and it’s influence on the world. However, many people don’t know the suicides that have taken place on the observation-deck located on the 102nd floor.
There have been many ghost sightings on the observation-deck of the Empire State building for this very reason. One specific event that took place in 1985 was when a woman went to visit the observation-deck. She had noticed another woman standing next to her, but sensed something weird about her presence. She was dressed in 1940s clothing, and started talking about how her husband had just died in the war in Germany. This, of course, would be World War II, one of the most horrific wars in our history. The ghost kept saying how she loved him couldn’t live without him. The woman was so scared that she started to walk away until she saw the ghost plunge over the building. The woman, startled, went into the bathroom to rest, only to see the same woman, again, standing right next to her.
