E. Howard Hunt and the CIA

March 19th, 2009

Everette Howard Hunt Jr. was a CIA agent most notable for his role in the Watergate Scandal. He began his clandestine career in the Office of Strategic Services during the Second World War. He spent the war in China fighting against the Japanese. In 1949, he joined the Central Intelligence Agency. He was involved in many secret operations including overthrowing the President of Guatemala and the ill-fated Bay of Pigs invasion. He became involved with President’s Nixon committee to Re-elect the President. He and a few other burglars raided offices of the Watergate Hotel and were caught. They were arrested and soon it was proven that Nixon had authorized a cover-up of the robbery.

This event lead to Nixon’s resignation from the Presidency. He spent 33 months in jail and was reportedly bitter about the entire ordeal. With the JFK assassination theories swirling around the country, Hunt gave a secret interview to the House Select Committee. He told them that the CIA was behind the assassination to kill John Kennedy. This information was never released to the public. Apparently, the CIA had been bitter over Kennedy’s policies over Cuba and wanted him dead. Hunt and two other men were in Dallas the day the President was shot. Why were they there? No one has ever let out information pertaining to this subject.

It is very likely that the CIA was involved in JFK’s assassination. Just the fact that Hunt was in the area and his presence was kept secret leads me to question the real story. Could it be that after all these years, the killer of the youngest President ever is the Agency that is defending our country? Hard to believe but may be true.
