Did Jesus rise from the Dead?

March 18th, 2009

For many Christians, the idea of Jesus coming back from death is living proof that he is the Messiah. This story has affected millions across the globe and Easter Sunday is considered one of the holiest days of the entire Christian calendar. However, there is absolutely no evidence of this. All four Gospels tell Jesus’ story of coming back from the dead differently. If people say that this truly did happen, they why would it happen four differeny ways? Surely an event like this would have had one true story that everyone should know. Yet if you ask any Christian how Jesus came back from the dead, their response is that he witnessed by some women (each Gospel tells of different women), he was seen by his followers, and later went up to heaven.

This story may very well be true, but where is the proof? Archaeologists and historians have found absolutely no proof of a man named Jesus coming back from the dead. In fact at the time of his supposed resurrection, no one outside of Jerusalem knew anything about him coming back from the dead. Now wouldn’t you think that if this event did happen that more than just a few people here and there would have seen it. Even the Romans, who were so terrified of religious rebellion would have recorded something about this. The fact that they did not, leads me to wonder. Could this all have been made up? It very well may have. After Jesus died, the next time anybody heard about Jesus was decades later when people began writing his story down.

Don’t you think if he truly was the Messiah and had come back from death, someone would have written something down and spread it to everyone immediately? Yet for all the debate about this subject, it still has its loyal followers. But what about a man named Apollonius. He was a first century man who was claimed by his followers to be the messiah, he performed miracles, he was killed by the Romans, and said to have come back from death. Could it be that people were so eager to make Jesus was more than he was that they changed the story? Possibly, but this is mere speculation.

that man that you said was named Apollonius, had to be a false prophet. or an antichrist. The bible is not false, its true, and maybe your taking it out of context? yeah. this bogus page has completely taken the entire bible completely out of context and if you would read different versions you might actually understand it. oh, and post the rest of the story ! not just the parts that make people not want to come to church ? Jesus is my Lord and He saved my soul by dying on the cross for me, and He said “Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing” and he died on that cross and rose on the third day ! this page is completely bogus and whoever is in charge, i’m sorry but quite frankly i don’t think you really know what your talking about. what i think is happening is your reading part of the bible, getting to the “scary” part, and stopping reading it and posting it on this STUPID page. you need to stop trying to scare people and tell them the whole story if your going to tell them the story at all. thanks.
