Creation or Evolution
This debate has been going on for centuries and the questions have never been fully answered. Most people nowadays feel that evolution is a fact, but that there was a greater force behind all of it. Yet, there are some people who believe that everything about the formation of our world can be told from the Bible. The Bible says that the earth was created in seven days. Christians who believe in this theory usually back it up by saying that the earth is only a couple of thousand years old. The evidence for this is that only a few thousand years ago is when man started to write down words and begin formative thinking. How could there have been humans before that? Evolutionists answer this question very easily.
They feel that man came from animals. We were once small organism that over time evolved to become the beings we are today. Charles Darwin was the main person who made this theory appeal to the masses. When he first published his theory, it was attacked by Christians and other religious groups who were too ignorant to see the larger picture. For centuries, people believed that the Bible told all. Now was a time that the offical doctrine was challenged. It took much time to convince people that evolution is a fact, not just a theory. Finally, people have accepted that the Creation story is just that, a story. Back when the Genesis story was written, man was too unintelligent to think that science could explain their origin. So they had to be humble and say that a high-being was involved.
We now know this to only be a theory. Scientists agree that evolution is a fact and that man came from primitive beings and organisms that evolved over time. However, there are still some people who cannot accept the facts and truly believe that the Bible is the official word that states the origin of mankind. How come the Bible fails to mention dinosaurs? The Bible cannot be taken literally. It is simple a book with metaphors and stories for mankind. Evolution is a fact, and science is ever-more telling us all we need to know about ourselves and others.

Ok, then where are the ‘facts’ for that? Here are some facts: Comets have life spans of only 10,000 years, and there is no known source producing them. There’s only about 10,000 years worth of salt in the oceans. The earth’s weakening magnetic pole indicates life could not have survived just 25,000 years ago (would’ve been equivalent to a polarized star). The 20,000 lbs of pressure that oil is under should have fractured the rock above and leaked off in less than 10,000 years. Earth’s spin is slowing down, so less than a million years ago it would it have been going much too fast for anything to survive (centrifugal force, 5,000 mph winds). Stars in the center of galaxies are moving slower than stars on the outside, the galaxies should have lost their spiral shapes billions of years ago. Stars explode and leave Supernova rings about every 30 years, but there are only around 300 in existence. The planets are cooling off rapidly, they should have been cooled off billions of years ago. The moon is moving away from the earth each year, and would have been touching earth 1.3 billion years ago; long before then lunar tides would have wiped out life.
