Crawford Road

December 15th, 2008

Crawford Road is located in Yorkstown, Virginia and is an active spot for the paranormal. It is land that was part of the battlegrounds for both the Revolutionary War and Civil War. People on this road have reported seeing phantom soldiers and hearing the sounds of battle. This strip of road today is known for dragracers to come to meet, as well as dumping grounds for murderers to put their victims. The most famous ghost on the site is that of a young black woman who was left standing at the altar on her wedding day. In shame, she hung herself from the bridge. Her spirit can be seen in a white wedding gown running across the bridge or her hanging from the side from a rope.
